Teacher Highlight: Jéven Dailey

We’re thrilled to introduce Jéven Dailey, a newer instructor who recently completed our 200-hour Vinyasa Teacher Training here at Buddha Bella! Jéven has been practicing yoga for 12 years and brings a calm, grounded energy to her classes. We are so excited to have her as part of our lineage of teachers here at Buddha Bella!

You can catch Jéven every other Friday at 7 AM for Hot Buddha Flow – an invigorating and mindful practice that will leave you feeling grounded and energized.

Here’s a little more about Jéven:

Q: What is your first and last name? A: Jéven Dailey

Q: How long have you been practicing yoga? A: 12 years

Q: If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be? A: Trinidadian Doubles (with extra pepper sauce, lol)

Q: What is your favorite yoga pose and why? A: Savasana – I have ADHD, so one of my biggest challenges is stillness (both in the body and the mind). While in savasana, I am able to witness my thoughts without letting them consume me, and for those few minutes, everything is quiet and calm.

Q: What style(s) of yoga do you specialize in? A: Vinyasa and Yin

Q: What is a fun fact about you that most people don't know? A: I play the piano and guitar, and if I really love you, I’ll sing for you.

Q: What is your favorite part about teaching yoga? A: Bringing people from all walks of life into a safe space to practice and receive the healing properties of yoga. People come into the shala in so many different headspaces, carrying all that life has given them, and I get to hold all of their things for an hour so they can decompress and let go. I can see the sweet release happening as we breathe and move through asanas, and after class, they are lighter than they were when they came in.

Q: What is your advice for someone new to yoga? A: Enjoy the journey, pay attention to what you feel, stick with your breath, and be where you are. Modifications and props are your friends ☺️

Q: If you could swap lives with anyone for a day, who would it be and why? A: My dog, Marz. He is a soft-life king. I aspire! LOL

Q: If you were a yoga pose, which one would you be and why? A: In true earth sign fashion, I would be Tree Pose. I feel very grounded in Tree Pose, and I also feel like it’s a reflection of life. Some days I feel steady, and other days I feel wobbly – just like in life, and that’s okay.

Q: Do you have a favorite quote or mantra that you live by? A: Everything I need is already within me.

Q: What's your go-to karaoke song?A: “I Write Sins Not Tragedies” – Panic! At The Disco
